A slice of rural New Zealand,
      only minutes from Havelock Marina!

    • Waves Campsite in Havelock is located in the heart of the stunningly beautiful Marlborough region and offer you a perfect stop-over or longer stay.

Being about one hour from the interisland ferry, we are ideally situated for when you land on the South Island and want to clear the port and settle down to prepare for your South Island trip.

Likewise on your return trip back to the North Island, you can stay over with us and then leave to catch your ferry with only a short journey.

Waves Campsite is also a great venue for birthdays, weddings, work parties, events, and more.

Check out our facilities - we are sure you will enjoy your stay with us, and we look forward very much to welcoming you to Waves Campsite Havelock.

    • Probably my favourite campsite

Really enjoyed our stay at the Waves. Just outside Havelock, Waves Campsite is not a ‘mainstream’ campsite, it’s also used by locals and workers which gave it a wonderful atmosphere. Very clean facilities and a nice community room with a personal touch (the dead wood saloon).

The manager Rae really went the extra mile and nothing was too much trouble. It was definitely one of my my favourite campsites in NZ!

    • Cute campsite

We stayed two nights at the backpackers because it was too chilly to camp in our tent. We got the dorm for ourselves so it was perfect, super comfy beds and great location to go for a hike in Pelorus Bridge. Thanks to the friendly hosts!

      Fantastic all round experience.

Was originally looking for a campsite (and they had a lovely spacious one) but decided to stay in a cabin instead, mostly because predicted rain. The cabin was well priced and very clean and comfortable.

Host showed us around all facilities which included separate men's and women's toilets and showers, a very well equipped, clean kitchen, and a great little bar/lounge area. Bathrooms were very well maintained, especially considering similarly priced accomodation in NZ. Host was really friendly and accommodating, which made the stay all the better.

We enjoyed some drinks on the spacious deck while the sun set, then played some darts before bed. Others guests were friendly and all round it was really positive, relaxing experience with a great vibe across the whole space. Even got to see a Weka strutting around in the evening!

Would easily recommend to anyone looking to stay in Picton/Blenhiem/Havelock area, and will definately be my go-to next time I ferry into Picton.

    • Great stay and perfect location

We stopped in Waves on our way back to Picton. Great facilities with hot showers, loads of kitchen area and clean bathroom. Nice stream in the paddock for a little dip and rock skimming which was nice on the hot day! ...would recommend for a stopover on the way to Picton, or if you have a few days in Havelock.

    • Last minute stay

We were told of this place by the wonderful ladies at The Mussel Pot, who even called and let them know we would be coming late. Rae was a total sweetheart and accommodated us late arrivals with a smile. The place was cute and the scenery was stunning.
